The Practitioner

Kevin O'Neil, L.Ac., began his Chinese Medicine training in Chinatown, Victoria, B.C. at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with Henry Lu, Ph.D.. After one year, Kevin transferred to the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, in Portland, where he spent 3 years completing his Master's Degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Upon graduation, Kevin went to China and interned in the HeiLongJiang Chinese Medicine University Hospital, before moving to Tainan, Taiwan to continue his studies of Chinese Medicine, language, and culture. Upon 'repatriation,' he chose to embrace the Taoist tradition of living in the mountains where the pace of life is more relaxed and the air is clean and clear. Finding Klamath Falls, Oregon to suit these characteristics, Kevin opened his clinic there in Spring, 1999.
Kevin has received special certification to teach Soaring Crane Qi Gong, from Chen, Hui Xian. He has also studied several martial arts, and continues to train based on the philosophies of Jeet Kune Do.

Endeavoring to balance his technological and scientific knowledge with the living tradition of Chinese Medicine, Kevin provides a uniquely authentic and sensible experience of the Ancient Way of Acupuncture & Herbs.

In his free time, Kevin enjoys hiking, field botany, practicing martial arts, playing music, cooking, and, of course, sleeping.
Kevin has always had an interest in plants and herbs. When he injured his tailbone many years ago, he was drawn to research herbs to help with pain and bone healing. Following this path, he discovered Chinese Medicine and determined that he had to learn it. Now, years later, he is ready to apply his experience and knowledge in his own clinic, to share the wonderful healing powers of acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, and massage with the people of Southern Oregon.

Born in Washington, with both parents from Western Montana, Kevin has lived in Oregon most of his life. After living and travelling in China and Taiwan for over a year, Kevin wanted to get back to his roots, settle down in a clean, beautiful Northwest town, and use his skills to help those in need.
