Emergency Formulas
There are several herbs and formulas from the martial arts tradition which are good to have on hand for emergencies such as bleeding, bruising, sprains and strains.
There are also several formulas which are good to have in the medicine cabinet for things such as food poisoning, indigestion, diarrhea, and the initial stages of colds.
Herbs/Formulas for Injury
The most common martial arts formula is Dit Da Jow, or "Hit Wines." While most of these contain similar ingredients, most traditions have their own variation on this formula. It's used to prevent bruising, as well as to strengthen the tendons and vessels, and to improve the circulation of blood and Qi. E-mail Kevin for prices and availablity.
A common patent formula to stop bleeding is Yun Nan Bai Yao. It is mostly comprised of the herb San Qi/Tian Qi (Pseudoginseng/Notoginseng).
Again, check with Kevin for availability, pricing, and custom formulations.
