North American Botanical Analogues
As Chinese herbs and medical theories continue to be used more in the West, it will be increasingly important to find and develop North American plants with similar properties to the Chinese herbs. Some Chinese herbs can be grown in N. America, and others have closely related counterparts here. This work has been begun, and can be followed in a few books. It's my hope that some farmers in Klamath Basin will dedicate a portion of their land or greenhouses to medicinal herbs, and that we can work together to get these herbs to the North American market.
